Dr. Ajinkya S. Joshi Biography

Dr. Ajinkya Joshi completed his doctoral studies from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University under the guidance of Dr. Vinayak S. Deshpande [Ex-VC (Acting) - RTM Nagpur University and Vice Chancellor, G. H. Raisoni University, Amravati]. Dr. Joshi received his B.Tech in Electronics from YCMOU Nashik, Diploma in Marketing Management, Diploma in Business Management and Master of Management Science from the Pune University. He has received Dr. Vishwanathrao Karad Gold Medal and Shri. Rajaram Bapu Patil Gold Medal for securing first position at B.Tech. He is a recognized Ph.D. guide for the subject Organization Management (under faculty of Commerce and Management) at Savitribai Phule Pune University and a recognized co-guide for Management subject at JJTU, Rajasthan.
Besides academics, Dr. Joshi has completed Sangeet Visharad in Indian Classical Music from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal and is a harmonium accompanist for Indian Classical Music.
He has been associated with this institute since 1991. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Studies and holds an additional charge of Registrar of this institute.

Prof. Dr. Vinayak Deshpande, a gold medalist, is the Vice Chancellor of G. H. Raisoni University Amravati. He was a member of the Regional Imbalance Committee - Maharashtra State, appointed by the planning Board of Maharashtra (Kelkar Committee). He is also a Member of Regional Direct Tax Advisory Committee. Dr. Deshpande has a rich administrative experience and has

previously served the RTM Nagpur University in various capacities such as Vice Chancellor (Acting), Pro-Vice Chancellor; Registrar, Head / Director Dept. of Business Management, Asst. Director - Academic Staff College, Dean Faculty of Commerce and Management, Chairman BOS, Senate Member and Member of Management Council, Academic Council and Board of Examinations.

He has published many research articles in reputed Journals and magazines and is an author for reference books on Macroeconomic Analysis, Indian Economy and Financial Institutions and Markets. He was associated with IGIDR for a project on Suicides of Farmers and submitted a report on Resource Mapping to the Maharashtra Economic Development Corporation. Thirty three candidates have been awarded Ph.D. under his supervision.

Dr. Deshpande was selected under the Rotary International Exchange Programme to the Netherlands. He also co-ordinated an International Conference held at Sydney, Australia. He has completed a course on Intermediate Macro-economics from London School of Economics.
